3/7: Brophy Wins Medal In Atlantic City
Senior Ken Brophy wrestled his way to an 8th place finish in the 135-pound weight class at this year's NJSIAA State Tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Brophy, who went 3-3 on the weekend, is the Patriots' first state medal winner since Gene Accardi in 2007, and just the 2nd since 1992, and 5th overall.
Brophy ends the season with a record of 39-9 and finishes his high school career with 108 victories.

2/27: Brophy Advances To Atlantic City
Senior Ken Brophy extended his season on Saturday by placing 3rd in the 135-pound weight class at the 2010 Region 6 Tournament in Toms River. With the win, Brophy moves on to the NJSIAA Championships at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Brophy (33-5) opened the quarterfinals with a loss to Jackson Liberty's Chris Zak, but went on to win his next three bouts in the wrestlebacks, including avenging the loss to Zak in the 3rd place match, to punch his ticket to Boardwalk Hall.
Fellow senior Phil Caracappa had his season and career ended on Saturday going 0-2 with the losses coming to the champion, Johnny Short of Matawan, and Long Branch's Andrew Cornell. For the season Caracappa with a record of 30-8 and finishes his career with 67 career wins.

Seniors Phil Caracappa and Ken Brophy kept their seasons alive on Tuesday night, winning the respective bouts in the opening round of the 2010 Region 6 Tournament. With their wins, both wrestlers advance to Friday night's Region quarterfinal at the Ritacco Center.

Seniors Ken Brophy and Phil Caracappa finished in 2nd place in their respective weight classes at Saturday's District 21 Tournament and will now move on to Tuesday's opening round of the 2010 Region 6 Wrestling Tournament.
Caracappa is tentatively scheduled to face Brad Royle of Jackson Memorial, while Brophy is to be matched up with Anthony Messler of Southern Regional.
