RBC: The Caseys matched their program record of five champions, and had seven medal winners in all, as they claimed the program's first ever District team title. Senior Frank Romeo joins 2024 graduate Lorenzo Portella as the only 3-time champions in RBC history. Senior Michael DiBiase won his fourth District championship, with the first two coming while wrestling for Wall. Senior Robert Connelley closed out his final District appearance with his first title, and his third medal, while sophomore Joey Vezzosi won his 2nd title, his first with RBC after attending Donovan Catholic last year. Rounding out the champions for the Caseys was Cole DeAngelo, who, according the research, is thee first freshman to win a District championship for the Caseys.

2025 Red Bank Catholic Caseys

2024 Record: 15-6

The Caseys are coming off of what was likely their best team ever, culminating with a #6 ranking in the Shore Conference Top 10 11. With just a handful of seniors in the room, and a lineup likely to be loaded with underclassmen, this will be a young team, but also a team with a ton of potential.

Starting down low, senior Michael DiBiase, who begins the season needing just 3 wins to reach 100 for his career, provides a strong veteran presence. The recent Belmont Abbey-commit is a 3-time State-qualifier, a Region Champ in 2023, a 3-time District Champ, and became the Caseys' first ever Shore Conference Tournament Champion last year. He's joined by sophomores Joseph "Mako" Vezzosi, a District Champ at Donovan Catholic last season, Joseph Gallagher, and Colin Barone, who transferred in from Colts Neck, and a number of freshmen with potential, to make this an otherwise all-underclassmen group.

In the middle, senior starters Robert Connelley, who is committed to Sacred Heart next fall, and Michael Milke return. Both wrestlers advanced to the Regions last season, with Connelley finishing 5th at 150. Junior Luken Ramos also placed 5th at the Regions last year after taking 2nd at Regions. There will be some new faces breaking into the lineup here as well. Among them are sophomore Anthony Russo, who comes over from Donovan Catholic where he won 12 bouts, and freshmen Chris Kelesidis, who placed 7th at Intermediate States last year, and Thomas Burke, who placed 6th.

Up top, senior Frank Romeo is coming off a 31-win season in which he won the District 20 Championship and a 2nd-place medal at the Region 5 Tournament. Fellow senior Jamie Gutridge and junior Christian Rodriguez each placed 3rd at the Districts last year. Along with junior Hayden Woolley, they provide some good experience in the upper part of the lineup that should also feature some new faces. Among the are freshman Brock Goodman, who placed 5th at Intermediate States last year.

The Caseys are going to be young in spots, but it is a young group with a ton of potential. With the tough schedule, the upperclassmen may have to shoulder a bit of the load early on, but this is a team that could really get clicking as the season progresses as they battle for the B-Division Title against Howell, Pt Boro, Ocean Twp, and Middletown North, and look to make noise in the team and individual postseason.
