3/7: Marr Places 7th In Atlantic City

Junior Andrew Marr wrestled his way to a 7th-place finish at this year's NJSIAA Championships.  Marr, who went 3-2 in AC, finishes the year with a record of 33-6.  In addition to his 7th-place medal at States, he was also the Region 6 and District 23 champion.

2/27: Marr Wins Region Title; Woszczak Places 3rd

Junior Andrew Marr defeated Brick Memorial's Billy Miller in overtime, to wrestle his way from the #3 seed to the very top of the podium at the Region 6 Tournament on Saturday.  With the win, Marr receives a bye into the pre-quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Championships in Atlantic City.

Joining Marr will be senior Brad Woszczak who placed 3rd in the 171-pound weight class.  Woszczak was 3-1 on the day with his lone loss coming to eventual champion Bryan Sternlieb of Toms Reiver East, 9-6.  Woszczak recovered from the loss by defeating Dylan Kelly of Point Beach and Mike Barone of Toms River North to claim the 3rd place medal and a spot in the State Tournament.

Sophomore Steve Biserta finished one win shy of joining Marr and Woszcak in Atlantic City, dropping a 5-3 decision to Zach Torchia of Middletown North.

Steve Biserta, Brad Woszczak, Andrew Marr, and Colin Egan won their respective weight classes, and Mark Donner and Andrew Marr placed 2nd, as Wall finished 3rd as a team at this year's District 23 Tournament at Brick Memorial.

Wall's four champions receive byes into Friday night's quarterfinal round of the Region 6 Tournament, while Donner will be in action on Tuesday night for the opening round at the Ritacco Center against Ken Dougherty of Toms River North.
